We brought sewing machines and started a sewing class with our teen students. There are 8 of our sponsored teenagers in the class. They learn three days a week. They help to make school uniforms for our sponsored kids. As a Haitian teen, there is not much hope of learning a trade or going to school after high school. This class gives them confidence and helps them learn a skill that can make money. Even right now as teens, our students can repair someone’s clothing or shoes and make a little money to buy a meal for themselves.
