York University Programs Requirements

Some graduate programs require an applicant to demonstrate proficiency in the French language to the satisfaction of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the supporting graduate program in order to be admitted to the program. In our Bachelor of Simultaneous Education program, you will work towards your degree of study while pursuing almost all other York bachelor`s degrees. You can apply to the Abitur (for some faculties) or after obtaining a three-year university degree. Completion of this program leads to a recommendation to the Ontario College of Teachers for a teaching certificate. Students who have already completed a bachelor`s degree can apply for the consecutive two-year full-time bachelor`s program. Career paths include: teachers, principals, educational policy advisors. In addition to submitting an application, some programs require a complementary application to be considered for admission. In the following table, you will find additional application deadlines. After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from York University providing you with a York reference number that you can use to track the progress of your application and submit the required supporting documents to MyAccount. It is your responsibility to ensure that York receives all necessary supporting documents and that they are received by the deadline. If you have not received a reference number within 4-5 business days of submitting your request, please check your spam and junk folders.

York University has a number of general admission requirements for admission to one of our programs. In addition to these requirements, your program of interest may require additional prerequisite courses, minimum grades, and/or a complementary application component such as a video interview, audition, or portfolio review. You will immerse yourself in all aspects of theatre, fostering the ability to specialise or take on a wide range of roles and apply different approaches to performance. After a basic first year, you will diversify into one of four streams: production and design, acting, performance creation or theatre studies. Throughout the programs, you will have the opportunity to join the creative, acting, and/or production teams of departmental productions under the mentorship of guest faculty and artists, reflecting the type of experiences you will have in the professional world. 1. You have completed at least one year of full-time study at an accredited university in a country (or institution) where English is the official language of instruction. Acquire in-demand skills suitable for a variety of careers. Career paths include: Advertising and Marketing Specialist, Corporate Communications Specialist, Technical Writer. To be eligible for admission to a graduate degree completed at the same time as graduate studies, applicants must meet or exceed the minimum requirements for the type of degree established by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, as well as any other requirements established by the graduate program and diploma for which they are applying. York`s psychology program offers the broadest and most diverse selection of courses available at a Canadian university. Ranked by Maclean`s magazine as one of the top 10 psychology programs in Canada and among the top 100 in the world (QS World University Rankings 2019), students can choose from a variety of topics of study, including autism, eating disorders, bullying, developmental, social and rehabilitation psychology, motivation, neuroscience, depression and more. The Admissions Office compiles and reviews submitted documents to ensure that the application package is complete, decides whether or not individual applications meet the faculty`s minimum admission requirements for graduate studies and the corresponding graduate program or graduate degree, and forwards the relevant documents to the appropriate graduate program office.
