Orphans

The Bible in James 1:27 says “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” Ann Ale strives to achieve this through a partnership with New Hope Children’s Home in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. New Hope houses 20 children ranging from 18 months to 13 years of age. All of these children have either been put on the street by their birth parents or have no parents at all. The owner of the previous orphanage where they stayed was arrested and jailed, leaving the children alone with no food or adult supervision.

After being made aware of this situation through members of the local community, Dieumeme Fatton, a local pastor went to visit the children. When he arrived he found the children severely malnourished and fending for themselves.  He knew he had to take action, so he took them in, and with no previous experience running an orphanage or any means to support them, he trusted that God would provide. Five of the children had to be immediately hospitalized due to starvation.

The children are all healthy, happy, and growing. Pastor Fatton is able to scrape up enough funds every month to feed the kids, but nothing more. They are unable to obtain an education, get further medical care, or have electricity or running water in the home. Crystal and Jenny visited the home several months ago and upon returning to the U.S.A, Ann Ale was formed. The first goal of Ann Ale is to ensure that these children are being provided the quality of life that they deserve (food, shelter, education, and other basic necessities).
Contact us if you would like to sponsor one of these children. It is because of these children Ann Ale exists, will you join us?

Update: We were able to purchase a truck for the orphanage that enables the kids to go to school and church.
